چکیده

Background: Covid-19 infection poses a serious challenge for immune-compromised patients. This is likely due to combination of immune dysfunction, immunosuppressive therapy and excess co-morbidities. Little known about the impact Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in patients with inflammatory autoimmune systemic diseases. Objectives: The aim this study describe clinical characteristics diseases COVID-19, identify baseline variables associated severe requiring hospitalization. Methods: A telephone survey investigating COVID-19 on lupus erythematosus (SLE), sclerosis (SSc), arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic ankylosing spondylitis), idiopathic myopathies (IIM), ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) was administered. Data extraction included diagnosis, activity status, demographics, duration, occupational exposure, adherence social distancing advise, therapy, comorbidities, laboratory tests. classified as definite diagnosis disease: presence symptomatic infection, confirmed by nasopharyngeal SARS-CoV-2 polymerase chain reaction test. Comparisons between or without hospitalization were performed. Results: 512 (median age 53,4 ± 14,3 years) (234 IA, 182 SLE, 42 SSc, 31 IIM, 23 AAV) study. 89 (58 woman, men) developed at least one symptom (fever, asthenia, chills, cough, sore throat, dyspnea, chest pain, headaches, arthralgias, myalgias, odynophagia, diarrhea, conjunctivitis, hypo-, ageusia, anosmia) PCR test positive. Of COVID – 19 54 treated methylprednisolone, 36 methotrexate, 34 hydroxychloroquine, 26- biologics, 10 - azathioprine, 6 cyclophosphamide prior their illness. Conclusion: more frequent subgroup modifying anti-rheumatic drugs, which might play some protective role against most harmful manifestations Covid-19. 21 required these frequently men, older comorbidities (cardio-respiratory illness, renal diseases, diabetes mellitus). Male sex, previous coronary lung disease, serum creatinine level, proteinuria, glucocorticoids use > 5 mg/day, Patients do not seen be higher risk course COVID-19. References: [1]Monova, D., S. Biomarkers in Systemic Autoimmune Diseases

In an ideal scenario, a biomarker would both reveal the driver of disease and identify an effective treatment. In oncology, genetic biomarkers that molecularly or clinically classify patient populations for targeted therapies, e.g., BRAF [1] and HER-2 [2], have been clinically validated and are reaching this ideal. However, biomarkers are necessarily based on the pathobiology of the underlying ...
